ktimes news headlines: "I don't see any problem with this

On thursday 31st July the most recent insult to Pathfinders was perpetrated by the leaders of k2003 when under the pretext of having a fun day out in the Lakes the leaders made a packet as they hired out the Pathfinders in their care to local farmers as scarecrows. The picture (right) obtained exclusively by ktimes shows how the unsuspecting teenagers were trained to stand in the "scarecrow position" whilst on a walk in Eskdale. One unnamed leader told ktimes "I personally am uneasy about using Pathfinders in such a blatently wicked way. They are here for a holiday not to line the pockets of our overall leaders". A spokesfarmer said, "there is nothing unusual about using teenagers as scarecrows. They have the outfits and are happy standing around doing nothing most of the time, so I don't see any problem with this? We do it all the time".
