The Sunday before the Venture began has revealed to ktimes the extent of the weirdness. In secretly filmed photographs we can reveal strange goings on when the leaders should be preparing for the Pathfinders to arrive.

One person, disguised in black, prepares to rumage in the rubbish skip while he is watched by "Pete" who, as you can see from the photo, has too many legs.

A spokesperson for the overall leaders said: "How many extra legs Pete has is entirely up to him. We have been encouraging him for several years now to stand on his own two feet and he has used his initiative finally and taken this a bit further".
