The Pathfinders finally started arriving and were immediately welcomed and put through a rigorous series of tests to see if they were suitable for the Venture. click here for more pics.

Apologies for a lack of updates to the site. The Venture was so full of action and enjoyment for all that the web editor had no time to add anything to it. Now that everyone is back home and sleeping off 9 days of relentless fun there will be more stuff appearing...

An afternoon of options included lots of crafts such as beadling and jewellery making together with the climbing tree and abseil ramp. Click here for more pics

A full day of action packed adventures... ghyll scrambling, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing and eating hand made packed lunches by the shores of Coniston water. It doesn't get any better than this. Click here for more pics of the day.

Brown Howe Friday 30July
Another day spent based at Brown Howe as people chose various options for the day: Ghyll scrambling; rock climbing; canoeing; kayaking. Click here for more pics of the kayaking action
Saturday 31 July - morning
Saturday morning was a pretty chilled time: as AJ and the boys had an extended kfm (with Gerard unplugged in the studio) people chose various options including archery, crate tower buidling, several craft workshops and abseiling. Here's a slice of the action

After lunch we piled down to the scenic lakeland village of Hawkshead for hunt the leader and treasure hunt. Here's what happened...
Sunday 1st August - pm
After a great sunday service followed by a brilliant sunday lunch and a chilled afternoon by the Lake at Sunnybank we had the delights of the Olympic Ball: catering by Jeano plc music by Hackers inc (guest dj: dj aj). See some shots of the event.
Monday 2nd August
A final day to enjoy the lake, rock climbing etc. Here we focus on the rock climbing with a few odd things thrown in for good measure. See these pics
Dorm stuff
Here we take a look at the dorms and their (often feeble attempts) to win the dorm inspection. This is the annual challenge for each of the dorms to keep their rooms from getting too rancid as well as creating some entertaining presentations in the daily theme. see some pics
